| It was a fast night for many of the cars especially for the #99 and #9. There was a horrific looking crash on the front stretch involving two cars that piled on top of each other. With relief for the race fans both drivers emerged unharmed! This drew a red flag with a lengthy cleanup time for the track crews. It was a very hot and humid evening and the cars parked on the track in the blazing sun were too hot to touch in the interior! |
| The #99 worked its way through the pack being held up by slower cars in the process even having to pass 3 lapped cars! Finally he was in position to try to reel in the #9 who was increasing his lead with no cars in front. The #9 car was really running well and only lost ground to the #99 in the turns. Frank was struggling with a loose car coming out the the turns and was unable to run the #9 down. He is proud to have a 2nd place finish to add to his successful season so far! |
