| At the last racing event of the season Wine Country Motor Sports entered the track only 10 points in the lead for the track championship. In racing, anything can happen to create an extra challenge for the event and the race crew prepared diligently for the event! |
| Frank posted another awesome qualifying time of 15:78 keeping his qualifying times for the year (except for the first race) all under 16:00. He also holds the track record and ran the 4 fastest times in qualifying this year. |
| The Feature event of the night was started with the current track points leader on the pole. This is the first time Frank was able to start in front! All of the races before this event were started with an inverted start which makes the races more perilous with slower cars in front creating a large group of cars with little room for error on anyone's part. So the two fastest cars were able to jump out in front and stay safe throughout the race. The race leaders continued to pull away from the pack even lapping two of the slower cars! Frank placed a close 2nd place at the race finish, which clinched the Track Championship! The Trophy is (as measured by our 10 year old) 5'8" tall! |
